The effects of polymers extrusion using the blowing agents are new and modified physical and technological properties of cellular products. These are for example: smaller density of received product, better damping properties, small processing shrinkage, better damping and insulating properties, bigger resistance to fire and the possibility of utilization after using. The modification of the unit of an cable concerns the making of the layer from the foaming polymer, which will cause the decrease of its weight, and through that, polymer purchase costs and transportation costs. Simultaneously it causes the replacement of the conventional coating extrusion process with the foaming extrusion process.
In the article specification of cellular extrusion process of thermoplastics was presented. Methods of cellular extrusion subject to products with determine surface characteristic received in the process where characteristic. In the research, the endothermal chemical blowing agents in amount 1,0% by mass were used. The quantity of used blowing agent has direct influence on density and structure of the received extrusion product of modified polymers.
