| Connecting asynchronously operating islanded networks can take place in the conditions of a post-blackout power system restoration. The article describes safety problems that might occur during the course of performing such a connecting procedure. In particular, the article discusses the method of testing stability of system that have been connected in conditions of a partial accordance of angles and frequencies. The article presents an algorithm, based on Lyapunov`s direct method, which allows to determine the shape of the area where the connection can be performed without the risk of stability loss or other negative effects (generator shaft damage, malfunctioning of protection devices). |
