The paper presents the most common surface defects of injection moulded products, which include, among others: embedding, streaks, colourings so-called comet tails, deformations burns marks left by ejector pins, air bubbles flashes, the gramophone record effect short shots, jetting, dull areas, tiger stripes, sink marks, micro-craeks, warping and weld lines where melt flows merged. Examples are given for particular material defects, including possible measures which can be taken in order to eliminate them.
