An analysis of experimental research results of water temperature distribution at fifteen specified levels in the accumulation water tank of capacity 350 dm(3) with heating coil, cooperating with the vacuum tube solar collector of 3.9 m(2) area is presented. For each day of July 2011 the quantity of thermal energy obtained from thermal conversion of solar radiation energy has been defined and the amount of heat accumulated in the tank has been estimated. The efficiency of energy accumulation in this solar system has been calculated. On the basis of the measurement data gathered, it was possible to determine the maximum water temperature in the tank on a particular day. The hourly mean degree of thermal stratification of water in the tank has been determined. Relation between the stratification number and the thermal gradient in the water tank has been considered. For selected operating cases the thermocline thickness in percentages has been estimated. |
