This article is an introduction to a broader study on the determination of the impact of the Lublin Subzone of the Euro-Park Mielec Special Economic Zone on the local socio-economic environment. The authors focused on calculating income and supply effects created by enterprises located in the Subzone. The article discusses an original method based on the information made available by the Central Statistical Office in the form of the Regional Data Bank. Moreover, two algorithms were presented: for the calculation of supply multiplier effects and for the calculation of income multiplier effects. The paper puts forward a thesis that as a result of entrepreneurial activity in a special economic zone local multiplier effects are created in its surroundings thanks to which new jobs emerge. The aim of this article is to present a method for determining the multiplier effects for the Lublin Subzone of the Euro-Park Mielec Special Economic Zone and to estimate the number of new jobs created in the local surrounding. |
