The European Union higher education is subject to internationalization and adaptation to the
requirements of the labor market. Both these trends necessitate development of new interdisciplinary
curricula in English. The article presents lessons learned from the project of the development of the
new Master's program called Mobile Application Development in Environmental Monitoring which was
pursued at the Lublin University of Technology in Poland. The paper also concentrates on results of
the project evaluation conducted among the project team members and obtained by means of a
survey during a meeting closing the activity. The survey consists of five closed questions groups: the
influence of the project on various aspects of work of an academic teacher, positive and negative
aspects of the project, the level of satisfaction with participation in the project and the level of fulfilled
expectations. The paper presents conclusions from the realization of the tasks that will hopefully
enable other teams to use the discussed experiences and selected examples of practices in MADEM
in order to increase the probability of success in similar projects
