The aim of this paper is to present the possibilities of combined heat and power (CHP) cogeneration using the Stirling engine. The laboratory stand was designed in order to present issues related to cogeneration in a practical way. Considerations of the experimental model using the Stirling engine were performed with the operational states of the system in mind. In the first part of the study, the influence of the temperature difference on the rotational speed between the upper and lower heat sources for the unloaded and the load system was investigated. In the second part of the measurements, the system was tested for the diffusion of heat energy between the hot and cold cylinder. Thermographic images show the transfer of heat from the heat source to the radiator through the regenerator.
