| One of the contemporary challenges in the field of manufacturing systems design is to define the optimal level of their flexibility from the realized manufacturing tasks point of view. This problem has direct influence on both investment costs and their flexibility and costs of manufacturing process. This article presents a solution of computer-aided machine tool selection for focused flexibility manufacturing systems taking into account economical criteria such as minimization of total costs of machine tools acquisition and the minimization of lead time of machining. |
