Developing even simple applications connected to server may require a lot of work due to the need to monitor server performance. In the case of a growing database and an increasing number of connections, an inadequately configured server-physical or virtual-may cause delays or even disconnection. Therefore, this can significantly degrade the user experience and even discourage users from continuing to use the application. On the contrary striving to accelerate the operation of services is not conducive to maintaining and taming the level of security. The choice between a faster and less secure solution, and one that provides stability but at the same time introduces delays to the operation of the system can be difficult. The authors wanted to verify what factors can affect the server's performance measured in queries execution time. The experiment concerned targeting selected query combinations in a series for various connection and server configurations. |
