Application of the Macro Fiber Composite (MFC) actuators to suppression of composite beam or plate yibrations is presented in this paper. The mathematical model of the tested systems is reduced to one degree of frreedom problem, which represents the first bending mode. The control strategy relies on adding a second electrical oscillator and then nonlinear coupling of both subsystems. Effectiveness of vibrations reduction by Nonlinear Saturation Control (NSC) is tested for selected parameters of the model. The analysed parameters are: initial condition of controller, phase shift of harmonie excitatłon and coupling coefficients of the two subsystems, mechanical and electrical. The analysis is focused on searching relationships between the controller parameters and determination their optima! yalues. Haying determined relationships between parameters the process of optimisation may be reduced to oniy one optimal parameter - the initial condition of the controller, for example. |
