The article presents the results of the conducted theoretical-experimental research of the process of orbital forging of sleeve-type product with simultaneous flanging. The numeric analysis has been conducted with the use of FEM, assuming thermo-mechanical model. There is used own material data as well as parameters for the friction model in calculations. It has been assumed that the cold-formed forging is made of AIMgSi aluminium alloy. Experimental research has been conducted with the use of PXW-100A press, which is an in¬dustrial machine adapted for realization of laboratory experiments. The press has been equipped, among others, with computer measuring system, which allowed for measurement of the forming strength. The comparison of experimental and numeric results demonstrated a good quantitative as well as qualitative conformity. Moreover, the obtained experimental results supplemented with analysis of stress and strain status allow for explanation of the process essence as well as indicate further development direction of this method of forming sleeve with a flange.
