In this paper new technologies of rotary metal forming processes of light alloy hollowed parts are discussed. The authors present the following manufacturing methods of hollow parts from aluminum, magnesium and titanium alloys: cross – wedge rolling, cross – rolls rolling, rotary compression and rolling extrusion. Numerical simulations of these technologies with different materials, parts geometries and processes parameters were made with the use of commercial software: Simufact and Deform3D. Numerical results obtained during calculations realized by means of FEM method were justified in series of experimental tests in laboratory conditions. All tests were made in prototype machines designed and built at Lublin University of Technology: cross wedge rolling mill LUW-2 with wedge rolls rolling device and rolling extrusion aggregate PO-1 with possibility of rotary compression process realization. Some of these elements have found successful applications in industrial conditions. Other parts constitute manufacturing offers addressed to metal forming companies searching for manufacturing of complex hollowed parts new technologies. |
