This parer presents a new method for rolling shafts with a variable cross section. Three conic Rolls positioned askew in relations to the bilet axis, with helically cut borders are used in this method. Such combination of three Rolls creates an impression corresponding to the shape of the obtained product. In the rolling process, the Rolls rotate in the same direction, while the product being formed rotates in the opposite direction. The correctness of proposed rolling method was verified by means of numerical simulations that were performer using the Simufact softwere. Three cases of producing a shaped shaft by rolling both a solid and hollow bilet are analyzed. The product shape changes and distributions of effective strain and temperaturę are given. Also, force-energy parameters of the rolling proces are analyzed. |
