This paper presents a new way o forming of a flange in tlie sliape of triangular rosette at the end of a hollow shaft from titanium alloy Ti6Ai4V. The proposed method is based on forming of the flange by means of distending of the hollow shaft end, freely protruding from split die. The end of the shaft protruding from the die is initially formed and has three recesses evenly located at the whole circumference. Research works were made by means of a three-slide forging press. The three-slide forging press has three independently operating slides, which allow for billet clamping in the split die by side slides and for the flange forming using the tool mounted to the third vertical slide. The research results confirmed the rightness of the proposed method |
