Intelligent sensor platforms, being a part of the IoT(Internet of Things) ecosystem concept, find use in various fields including telemedicine. This work features key aspects in design of such systems. Multiple elements of sensory platforms were characterized, including intelligent sensors, ECG (Electrocardiograph) monitors and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) devices for gathering data during mobile personal patient monitoring. Such platforms are designed to be able to function inside the IoT ecosystem. Gathering of sufficient data describing life functions of the person under monitoring requires the use of a set of mobile sensors. Means to extend the basic functionality of the platform were also described, leading to increase of the number of channels used for information gathering using circulatory system conditions as an example. A dedicated application for mobile devices able to communicate by the BLE interface is an integral element of the ecosystem. Additionally, the methodology for creating services for handling chosen types of sensors in this standard and developing personalized measurement methods was described. The paper is in itself a complex coverage of problems of designing sensory platforms conforming to the IoT concept to be used for chosen patient life functions monitoring.
