The three-phase reluctance motor has been investigated of rated power PN = 1,8 kW and
nN = 1500 rpm. The motor was tested for the five selected frequencies fS = 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 Hz. The loadest was made for supplying with a rated voltage and with an optimal voltage. It was found that at optimaloperation of the motor, its efficiency can be significantly improved , in particular at part load. The optimalpower factor has constant value cosϕ = 0,5 and is independent from load and frequencies of the supply voltage.
