The article presents example application of the Java environment to develop a program meant for analyzing signals with real-time fault signals in particular, Functional characteristics of that application realized in the mentioned environment has been presented. The application has been developed mainly to simulate operation of criterial algorithms used by power system protection and to verify their applicability to various kinds of faults, although it can also be used to perform simulations of any kind of signals, which is ensured by mathematical functions implemented there. Owing to the application of an open programming environment a functional tool has been obtained to be used for the evaluation of algorithms programmed there and of the analyzed signals. The open programming environment makes also possible to add and test user-written functions, which gives the application open and evolvable character. |
