Our research was focused on a design of the laser scanning device for photodynamic therapy with the feedback system for monitoring the photosensitiser concentration in the tumour tissue by its fluorescence in the pauses between therapeutic laser irradiation. Hence, we developed a protocol of tumour photoirradiation, which promotes the recovering of the photosensitiser concentration in the tumour tissue, which is critical for the process of treatment. It was also shown that laser scanning regimen allows to reduce the light dose required for the inhibition of tumour growth © 2019 Taylor & Francis Group, London. |
