| Quality of a residential building is conditioned not only by technical condition of the structure, services and finishings, but also the level of fulfilling economic, ergonomic and aesthetic requirements. These are not always of formal character, and their assessment cannot be based on dichotomous scales, so without expressing to what extent the requirements of building users, owners, managers or valuation surveyors are met. Assessment of a building's usability involves also determining significance of the requirements. The authors argue that applying fuzzy AHP – a technique invented to deal with imprecise and uncertain information obtained from a number of sources – facilitates aggregation of opinions and finding a compromise on the building usability criteria weights. |
