This experimental study was performed to obtaina relationship between moisture content and shrinkage potential atdifferent temperatures of three soil materials (quaternary clay andgranite loam from southern China and a basin silty loam fromGermany). The soil materials were compacted by Proctor test atdifferent water contents and the Proctor compaction curves wereobtained. Shrinkage potential (change in bulk density) due todrying at 40 and 105°C was also determined. |
