Flow modeling for sanitation systems allow the assessment of retentional volume of channels as well as reserve of capacity. The existing real objects located on the sewage network and their spatial relations are used in models development. Data concerning the details of the existing object are derived from the tech-nical documentation. Application of a network hydraulic model should collaborate with GIS and monitor-ing (flows, fillings and precipitation) databases. Sanitation network may be consisting of thousands ele-ments which may be presented as a collection of respectively connected cannels, chambers and sumps. Every special object located on the network should be described by application of suitable formulas. The most difficult and work-consuming stage of a network hydraulic model creation is preparation of dataset and verification of data correctness during their input to the database. The properly configured hydraulic model of a sanitation network should enable conducting the wide-ranging analyses of an existing sanita-tion systems operation during the rainy and rainless season as well as conducting the variant analysis of modernization and extension, to obtain the optimization of different proposals. This paper presents the standard and special elements of a numeric model of sanitation system, descriptions of its construction based on GIS, with special attention put on relations between spatial and alphanumerical databases. The software package Mb_GIS Utility Enterprise Edition as a tool of a network hydraulic model construction was introduced. The commonly met problems and errors committed during sanitation modeling were also presented.
