In this paper the results of numerical analysis of cross-wedge rolling (CWR) process of ball pins are presented. A variant in which two forgings are formed at the same time were analyzed. Numerical calculations were made with the use of commercial package of software MSC.SuperForm 2004. The whole process, state of stress, strain, thermal problems and force parameters were analyzed in details. It was stated that the application of the CWR method for forging of ball pins is fully justified. |
