| In this study, rotational compression of rods has been considered theoretically. Calculations were performed under the assumption of plane strain conditions, using commercial system FORM-2D based on the finite element method. The following topics have been considered: the width of contact area, the contact pressure and rotational compression stability. Calculated results have been compared with experimental data from current references. |
