The hollowed crankshafts, camshafts or stepped shafts find lately large fields of applications in modern constructions. Utilization of them permits to reduce inertia and weight of elements up to 30% without diminutions of strength characteristics. One of the perspective production technologies of these parts is cross-wedge rolling (CWR). In this work some results of numerical analysis, made with MSC. SuperForm 2002 software, for hollowed shaft in CWR technology are presented. Obtained dependences between process stability, deformation ratio and wall thickness of formed material are shown. The article presents the results of experimental works which were made for verification of numerical simulations. The authors present the phenomena reducing field of stability of CWR process parameters for hollowed shafts. The knowledge of these problems permits in the future to impose data for designing of CWR technology. |
