The impurity induced fluctuations in the superconducting system have been studied. We have used the single band negative U Hubbard model to find the response of the charge and superconducting order parameters to the local fluctuations of the on-site energies. The second central moment (i.e., the width) of the corresponding distribution of the order parameter and/or local charge have been related to the corresponding moment of the impurity distribution. This defines a kind of a `response' function. We performed the explicit calculations of this response function assuming weak scattering limit and two-dimensional lattice with nearest and next-nearest neighbour hopping. Special attention has been paid to study of the half-filled (n=1) particle–hole symmetric band where previous analyses have shown vanishing of the disorder induced fluctuations both in the weak scattering limit and near Anderson metal–insulator transition. The gap parameter starts to fluctuate even for n=1 but with asymmetric band or/and in systems exhibiting both superconducting and charge density wave order. |
