Background: The way the managment students prioritize the organizational activities in the frame of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will influence organizations but also for society as a whole. Transposing the attitudes of students to the attitudes of managers seems to be largely legitimate, which has been proven by the results of previous research. Purpose of the study: This study aimed to answer the following questions: what in the opinion of management students (Polish and incoming Erazmus) are the most important dimentions of CSR; whether the order of dimensions depends on the national context of the students or their gender. Methods: The survey was carried out with data collected through questionnaire application and documentary research. A tool in the form of a developed Aperle questionnaire was used for operationalization There were two groups of students –Polish and foreign (both groups are studying in Lublin University of Technology, in Management Faculty. Results: The results relate to the opinion poll of Polish and foreign students on the impact of nationality and gender on the estimation of CSR dimensions. in the light of the results obtained, Polish students attached slightly less importance to the economic aspect than foreign students. On the other hand, foreign students assessed the philanthropic dimension higher than Polish students. Attitudes and perceptions of female students (Polish and foreign) were more positively assosiated with philantorphic and ethical aspect and Attitudes and perceptions of male students (Polish and foreign) are more positively assosiated with economic aspect than female students. Conclusion: Opinions on the importance of particular aspects of CSR depend on group affiliation (national or multinational) and gender. Such knowledge gives universities and business schools the opportunity to supplement their curricula with specific CSR issues so that they become more suited to social needs and expectations. |
