The study aims to predict the bending dynamic of layered plates made of functionally graded materials (FGM). The dynamic rigidity and loss factor properties have been determined by using numerical schemes based on a multi-level theoretical approach. This chapter is an attempt of proposing a novel adaptive procedure to derive the dynamic rigidity and damping parameters for layered asymmetric FGM vibration plates. In the future, an extension of the present approach to nonhomogeneous plates with different layer materials will be performed to test various structure designs. Structures composed of laminated and FGM materials are among the most important structures used in modern high-speed engine engineering and especially in the automotive and aerospace industry. Such lightweight and highly reinforced structures are also being increasingly used in mechanical and transportation engineering. The main advantage of the present method is that it does not rely on strong assumptions of the plate model. The key feature is that the simple models can be applied in different vibration conditions of the plate by a suitable analytical or approximation method. |
