This study examines the causes of the occurrence of torsional vibrations in the primary motion drive of grinding machines. The method of transforming the kinematic circuit of the drive into the calculation scheme is given. The method of construction of a structural scheme and a dynamic model of the drive is discussed. A description of the structural scheme in the form of differential equations is presented based on which transfer functions of a dynamic system can be obtained. Analysis of random factors that cause the appearance of torsional oscillations in the primary motion drives of grinding machines revealed that in the study of dynamic characteristics, in addition to the deterministic, a probabilistic statistical approach is required. Data on the dominant factors of a random nature in the primary motion drive of grinding machines can be used to develop grinding control systems and rational control algorithms that take into account oscillatory processes in the dynamic system of machines. Knowing the frequency composition of the load moment calculated for the recommended grinding modes enables the designing of a primary motion drive so that none of its own frequencies falls within the specified range of loading frequencies. |
