Numerous surface defects in the form of pulled and torn fibers, as well as matrix chipping and ma- trix/fibers interface chipping are determined. The influence of milling parameters on the number of torn fibers and the fraction of defects in the material structure are analyzed. In this study, we use carbon fi- ber-reinforced plastics. The obtained results reveal a significant relationship between the milling pa- rameters and produced defects. It is found that the number of defects strongly depends on the feed speed. The increase in the cutting speed leads to a decrease in the number of defects. |
