This thesis focuses on topics related to the use of modern technologies in the education of engineers.
The focus was on 3D technologies and it’s derivatives. The article presents the importance of teaching
3D technology in the teaching process. The focus was on the implementation of 3D printing and its
derivatives in the education of future engineers. The importance of knowledge about 3D technologies
on the current labor market was highlighted. Tools that can be used as teaching aids in the teaching
process are presented. The need to carry out educational activities with the use of the aforementioned
tools focusing on 3D printing and its technology was discussed. Applications of 3D printing in everyday
teaching were shown. It describes how 3D printing affects the development of creativity among students.
An exemplary process of 3D modeling and its printing was shown. An exemplary 3D modeling program
and 3D printers that can be used during classes are presented. The work was summarized with final
conclusions
