Unmanned aerial vehicles in the form of multicopters are widely used in various sectors of the economy. However, their significant disadvantage is the energy consumption of the propulsion system during hovering and various flight states. In this type of aircraft, lithium-polymer batteries are commonly used as a source of energy. This paper presents the results of research on an unmanned aerial vehicle in the form of a multicopter. The drone performed several planned test scenarios during a flight in open terrain. Signals from onboard sensors were recorded using a data logging system integrated with the aircraft. They were then analyzed for energy efficiency. The obtained results and calculated values of the efficiency indicator can be useful in optimizing the design of this type of aircraft and during work on new projects of multicopter UAVs. |
