| Purpose: Enterprises' use of digital technologies requires cybersecurity measures to protect data, systems, and users from cyber threats. The article aims to present theoretical considerations and empirical research results on cybersecurity management in small enterprises using digital tools in their operations. Design/methodology/approach: The research was based on two methods. The analysis and literature criticism method allowed for exploring the topic's theoretical basis and developing the methodological assumptions of the empirical study. It was conducted using a diagnostic survey method with a structured interview technique. Findings: The research analyzed small business cybersecurity challenges. The main problems were found to be limited budgets and the occurrence of complex and dynamic cyberattacks. It is necessary to improve employees' digital competence and cybersecurity awareness. Research limitations/implications: The survey was a pilot study. It allowed for the verification of the research assumptions and the research tool. The study revealed the relevance of the discussed topic and the need for further in-depth analysis. It is necessary to clarify the survey tool and repeat the survey on a larger sample. Practical implications: The article examines the aspects of cybersecurity management in small enterprises. It identifies key issues and demonstrates the need to implement practical solutions to prevent cyberattacks. Originality/value: The value of the article is the development of a research concept enabling a holistic assessment of practices and challenges in the management of cybersecurity of small enterprises in the context of the use of artificial intelligence. |
