| Epoxy resins belong to the group of synthetic resins, single or two-component, which are capable of creating infusible and insoluble polymeric materials as a result of cross-linking (curing) reactions involving epoxy groups. Epoxy resins are chemically curable compounds, the molecules of which contain at least two epoxy groups. Among the most typical epoxy resins, we can distinguish diglycidyl ethers of bisphenol A (BPA), which are the result of the reaction of BPA with epichlorohydrin. Epoxy resins are resin mixtures consisting of various components, such as curing agents, diluents, solvents, fillers, elasticizing agents, agents increasing resistance to UV radiation, dyes and others, etc. The basic epoxy compound consists of epoxy resin and curing agents. Thanks to the possibility of adding various modifying substances, it is possible to obtain an unlimited number of variants of this material, with very different properties and a wide range of applications. |
