| The article presents the concept of using supercapacitor as an energy storage in a trolleybus in order to ensure the continuity of power supply to on-board trolleybus devices during the passage through isolated sections of the overhead contact line. A mathematical model of the on-board power supply system and an example of the power limit calculation have been described. The required capacity of the supercapacitor has been determined. A series of simulation studies were conducted, which made it possible to analyze and evaluate the potential capabilities and limitations of the proposed methods for maintaining the operation of auxiliary equipment. The results of simulation studies showed that the proposed model can be effectively used under typical trolleybus traction conditions. The use of a supercapacitor can ensure an uninterrupted power supply to auxiliary equipment across the entire range of operating speeds and power requirements of the trolleybus. |
