| CFRP/Al/CFRP multilayer structures are increasingly used in industries such as aerospace and automotive due to the possibility of combining the beneficial properties of the component materials. However, the manufacture of composite parts usually requires subtractive machining, therefore it is also important to choose the appropriate method to ensure the best results. Abrasive waterjet cutting (AWJC) exhibits favorable properties in this regard. The aim of the study was to determine the surface condition after AWJC and the possibility of improving it by changing the cutting conditions. The study showed that cutting parameters can significantly affect surface quality. The feed rate had a significant impact, and increasing it caused a clear deterioration in surface condition. The use of a higher abrasive flow rate also had a beneficial effect on surface condition. |
