| A review of the most used methods for assessing the flammability of polymeric materials is presented, with particular emphasis on small-scale testing. The flammability classes are determined according to individual test methods and the requirements that materials must meet to be classified are discussed. The difficulties associated with assessing the fire hazard of polymeric products based on the results of individual flammability tests are also highlighted, along with supplementation and modifications to existing test methods. |
