| Vision-based sensors provide versatility in detecting a broad range of movements making the Human Action Recognition models under constant limelight. This study proposes an innovative, trustworthy Spatial-Temporal Graph Kronecker Convolutional Neural Network with a Cauchy activation function for tennis movement identifi- cation. Instead of the typical convolution, the Kronecker operation is proposed, which reduces computational complexity as well as improves the accuracy of detection. Moreover, the most effective parameters for the Cauchy activation function are established during the experiments. The model is verified utilising a trustworthy evaluation protocol combining standard metrics, SHAP interpretability, model calibration, model generalisation with cross-dataset testing on THETIS, Tennis-Mocap and 3DTennisDS, model calibration employing Expected Calibration Error, and robustness model. The ablation study proved the Cauchy to be the most adequate activation function for the ST-GCN-based models. The proposed architecture enhances the performance of tennis stroke recognition based on motion capture data, providing a trustworthy architecture. |
