| The aim of the more affordable small aircraft manufacturing (SAT AM) project was to develop the technologies enabling the manufacture of lighter and more cost-effective aircraft airframe structures, supporting the moderniza- tion of airframe production. This paper presented the methodology and results of applying additive manufactur- ing (AM) technologies to produce components for a cabin demonstrator. The benefits of the applied technology – including materials, tools, testing procedures, and design methodology – were discussed, and the results were analyzed to highlight the project’s impact on the implementation of AM and its potential significance for future aircraft manufacturing. |
