| The Chapel of the Holy Trinity in Lublin, located within the walls of Lublin Castle, constitutes one of the most valuable monuments of medieval art in Poland, distinguished by its fully preserved programme of Byzantine-Ruthenian frescoes funded by Władysław Jagiełło. Due to its centuries-long conservation history, dating back to the early 20th century, as well as the exceptional artistic value of its wall paintings, the site requires continuous conservation supervision. In response to the limitations of traditional documentation methods, this paper presents the application of an integrated digital twin, combining data acquired from terrestrial laser scanning (TLS), close-range photogrammetry, and environmental and structural deformation monitoring systems. The proposed model is not merely a static 3D representation but a dynamic analytical system enabling temporal monitoring of changes, detection of micro-cracks and displacements, and forecasting of degradation processes in relation to variable microclimatic parameters. The study demonstrates that a digital twin can serve both as a documentation tool and as a platform supporting conservation decision-making, while also offering a methodology transferable to other heritage objects of high cultural value. |
