| The background-subtraction procedure was used in electroacoustic measurements to determine the zeta potentials of various powders at electrolyte concentrations >0.1 M. At low concentrations, the contribution of the electrolyte to the overall signal is negligible, but at higher concentrations, the background-correction is necessary. More recently, the background-correction was used to analyze the electroacoustic signal of dispersions containing various types of particles. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. |
