| Depopulation of rural areas in Poland, especially in the so-called eastern wall intensified during the transition. Fallen state-owned farms and small farms stopped doing maintenance. In accordance with the programs of the European Union for the period 2014-2020 one of the priority actions is revitalization. It applies to actions whose goal is to bring revival, improved functionality, aesthetics, ease of use and quality of life in a restored into a new functionality of the site. Currently, many areas suitable for revitalization are in a rural location. Abandoned by migrating for work population areas are not lost. In connection with potential opportunities to achieve improvements in this case are formed concepts of revitalization of derelict sites. The article presents the concept of transforming the desolate countryside in an energy-efficient the Children's Village, where abandoned and orphaned children receive a second family and the conditions in which they can thrive. It is a solution that can be "tailor-made", ie. can be developed as the growing needs of users and their wealth. For the analysis of the integration of building installations energy saving, the laboratory buildings located at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Technical University of Lublin has been used. |
