The electrode surface plays an important role during ozone production. This paper examines the role of surface condition and demand mechanisms of nitrogen under rotating type ozonizer use. A gold-plated rotating electrode was used to eliminate surface oxidation effect. During long-term operation, nitrogen on the electrode surface appeared to decrease and ozone production to stop. Use of a rotating-type electrode appeared to hasten the ozone-zero phenomena compared to a non-rotating electrode because rotation allows the entire electrode surface to function, resulting in more even consumption of nitrogen on the electrode surface. Various factors for ozone concentration differed even under constant input power. Ozone recovery times differed due to rotation speed and the value of nitrogen added. Ozone production became increasingly unstable with experimental time due to a decrease in nitrogen density. An increase in rotation speed resulted in an increase in nitrogen demand |
