| Family businesses in Poland are an important part of the SME sector. The area of activity of these organizations are often local, so that they affect local communities. They produce about 10% of GDP and employ around 20% of employees. Family businesses can provide competitive advantage in the market and generate management problems, which do not have non-family companies. The article presents the results of surveys conducted in the years 2014–2015 (as part of the third edition of the research) on a group of 67 family businesses, operating in the Lublin voivodship. The subject of research are subjective opinions of family businesses, belonging to the sector of micro-small and medium-sized enterprises and also the problems of management and factors, affecting the company’s management. |
