he demand for thermal imaging is currently quite high, with applications rangingfrom complementary X-ray examinations, tomography, mammography, to pipeline examination, anddetection of insulation discontinuities. It is also used for measurements when detecting heat lossesin buildings. The wider the temperature detection range of thermal imaging equipment, the greaterits potential applications in various industries, provided that the results are delivered within theappropriate range. Accurate methods involve non-contact measurements using infrared testing, whichallows one to detect any object with a temperature higher than 0 K, ensuring non-invasive testing. This work focuses on the use of thermography in medicine for the early detection of varicose veins.Activities carried out using thermograms are also presented. Examples of thermograms created forindividuals suffering from varicose veins, who have undergone surgical procedures to remove varicoseveins, and who have not been formally diagnosed with vascular diseases, are included. The final partof the work summarizes how thermography can identify selected pathologies. It’s worth noting thatthermograms displaying abnormalities and lesions are compared with thermograms obtained fromhealthy patients.
